Developers Sloclap (and publisher Devolver Digital) have recently unveiled their debut game Absolver. The dev teams name most likely won’t be familiar to you, but don’t worry, it’s got some pedigree to it, being formed of former Watch Dogs and Ghost Recon devs!
Looking something akin to a potential title to rival Ubisofts upcoming ‘For Honor’ title, but – according to publisher Devolver Digital in a press release – bringing something that it will feel more like an RPG; Absolver is a more mystical, magical, and cel-shaded take on martial arts that focuses on multiplayer combat, with PvE as well as PvP modes.
The devs have said that you’ll be able to build up a team of fighters as you explore various dungeons scattered across the Adal Empire (which the game is set in, as well as a brief mention of equippable gear and customisable attacks.
Devolver has promised more information about the title will be revealed at E3 2016, taking place in LA, June 12-16th.
