Batman: Return to Arkham which was previously slated to drop on PS4 and Xbox One July 26th has been delayed, Warner Brothers announced.
“After reviewing the progress of the project, the team at WB games has decided to delay the release of Batman: Return to Arkham to give the team at Virtuous Games additional time to deliver a Batman Arkham game experience. We do not have a release date yet and will be sure to communicate that once we are sure the will be ready. We know this is disappointing news, but we feel the extra time will allow the team to create the best gaming experience for our fans” Warner Brothers staff Steve Grayson said on the Warner Brothers Games forum.
The delay comes as a surprise to players as the game was set to launch in just under a month. The delay could be a result from many things from performance to graphics, whatever the reason it is good to see Warner Brothers Games delaying the title until its ready rather than push it out the door.
Batman Return to Arkham was a compilation package featuring Batman Arkham Asylum and Batman Arkham City complete with all of the DLC. Both games are remastered using Unreal Engine 4, they were previously made with Unreal Engine 3. Batman Return to Arkham will be priced at $49.99 / £39.99 when it is launched and will be available on PS4 and Xbox One.
