There is a lot of hope and excitement for the possible anouncement for the sequel to the popular fighting game Injustice Gods Among Us, by NetherRealm studios. I myself love the game, and I am very excited for a possible second game. I have a lot of hope for the game, and a few things I would like to see implemented. So here are 3 things that I would like to see in Injustice 2:
- Some form of fatality mechanic. This is much inspired by NetherRealm studio’s acclaimed Mortal Kombat games, and their famous fatalities. Just to clear up things, I am not saying I want lashings of violence from the game, but to have the option to deal with your opponent at the end of the fight will make each victory so much more satisfying. I think that if implimented correctly, this system will reward and encourage players to tryout new characters and keep playing.
- I think that it would be a great improvement to the original game if they gave each character multiple special moves, but with a new game on the verge of being announced, I think I should go the whole hog and say that why don’t they give each character specials depending on the opponent they face. Now I know that it would be a demanding task, but for instance have different specials when facing a tank-like character, a fast character or an opponent which verges somewhere in the middle. I strongly believe that this would greatly increase my immersion with the game a great deal, as well as adding variety to the game, meaning I dont have to watch the same animations as much as before.
- Have multiple and more creative character powers. Being able to press a button and then be given a power related to that character gave each character a uniqueness that gave the cast of heroes and villians more soul, which is a must-have or any fighting game, or any game in general.(Take overwatch for instance, no two heroes are alike) But I fet that some of those powerups were, frankly, dull. Take for instance Superman’s pwer, which is just a buff. I think that NetherRealm should show some creative freedom with these powers, and create something that is unique, interesting and usefull.
