Sony has confirmed the existence of the rumoured PS4 NEO (or PS4K). In a statement to the Financial Times from, Sony Interactive Entertainment president and group CEO Andrew House.
“It is intended to sit alongside and complement the standard PS4,” he said. “We will be selling both [versions] through the life cycle.”
The console will not be revealed at E3 next week, however, with Sony instead waiting to “ensure we have a full range of the best experiences on the new system that we can showcase in their entirety”.
House also confirmed that all games will remain compatible across both systems and that a large amount if not all games are to be optimised for the new PS4.
He also said that the console will not be at E3 and refused to comment on when.
