Some Titanfall 2 details have recently leaked, being anonymously posted over on Reddit last night. And there’s some intriguing info and juicy images to tide us over until E3 (well there was, the posts info has been deleted now)!
Information taken from the anonymous post should be taken with a pinch of salt, as the anonymous poster doesn’t confirm the leaks source, so this could all be wrong (though it does look pretty legit).
According to the post the game will see a grappling hook mechanic added that will have multiple uses, such as “getting into your Titan, aiding free-running, or tactical plays such as pulling enemies while they’re midair.” The post also provided a piece of artwork which matches and expands on an image partially visible in the background )though severely blurred), on the official Titanfall site.
Judging by the image alone there’s a couple of key tidbits to take forward: firstly, the area looks big, much larger than the areas found in Titanfall 1 (of which the poster has said that the sequel’s maps will actually now be bigger) – which is a strong likelihood given the game won’t be made for the previous generation, so more power to utilise! Secondly, are Titans (or at least a new-looking subclass) able to wall-run now?! Oh lordy if that’s true!
The anonymous post rounded up by saying that Titanfall 2 is scheduled to be released this October, meaning it’ll launch the same month as Battlefield 1 (a very bold move from EA if true), who is also publishing Battlefield 1.
