We know a bit about the highly-intriguing third-person Star Wars action game that is in the pipeline over at EA; Uncharted and Legacy of Kain writer Amy Hennig is penning the script, Dead Space series studio Visceral Games is developing, and Assassin’s Creed producer Jade Raymond is co-developing with her new studio, Motive. That’s quite a bit of information about a game we don’t even know the premise nor title to (though rumours still persist it’ll be reusing aspects of the cancelled, ‘gritty’ Star Wars 1313).
However, this E3 could finally be when more concrete information about the game is revealed, if you “read between the lines” of a recruitment letter posted to EA’s website early June (2nd to be precise).
In the letter, Raymond took note of how far her newly formed studio has come, and wrote that she was “super excited” to share more in the coming months. But the real teaser of something coming to E3 is in her conclusion of the letter: “See you in a couple weeks!” What happens a couple weeks after June 2nd? Of yes, E3; or rather, EA Play – since EA pulled out of the show. Although this is far from concrete information that there’ll be news on the title, one can hope!
